James "Jim" Buckley, of Kingston passed away suddenly on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at age 42. Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, a graduate of Quincy Vo-Tech, Class of '85, he lived in Weymouth before moving to Kingston 4 years ago. A lifelong roofer, he worked for Delta Roofing of Southeast MA. Jim was an avid sports fan who enjoyed fishing and valued his family above all. The beloved son of Henry J. Buckley of Kingston and the late Eileen K. (Bennett) Buckley, he was the dear father of James J. "JJ" Buckley, Jr. of Kingston, formerly of Weymouth, Melissa, Thomas and Sean Buckley, all of Kingston, the loving lifelong partner of Maureen Woodard, beloved brother of Jean Buckley Fries and her husband Ronald of Kingston, Scott McTaggart of Fall River, Richard McTaggart of Quincy, Charles Patch of Weymouth and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St., Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial is at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate donations to the Jim Buckley Children's Fund, c/o 2 Strawberry Lane, Kingston, MA 02364.
