Gladys Mary Bolsinger was the sixth daughter of Frank and Alta "Cole" Bolsinger and the ninth child. Gladys was born Mary 19, 1925, when her parnest lived on what was known as the Cole place east of Colesburg, Iowa. Gladys too, along with her brothers and sisters, received her education at the Colesburg Consolidated School. On October 12, 1944, she was united in marriage to Willie "Bill" Cole, son of Fred and Anna Mae Cole, starting housekeeping near Monticello, Iowa, where Bill worked as a farmhand for C.K. Grear. At this time they welcomed their first daughter, Verla. Moving near Hopkinton, Iowa in 1947 and still working as a farmhand, two more children joined them, Jerry and Charlotte. In the late fall of 1948, Bill and his family gave up the farm life and Bill became employed as a factory worker in and around Davenport, Iowa. As their life progressed they were the proud parnents of nine more children, completing their family of 12 children. In 1965 Bill Suffered a heart attack, leaving him unable to work. After Bill's heart attack they moved back to northeast Iowa on farm near Greeley, Iowa, living there for a few years. In 1971 they moved to rural Princeton, Iowa. At that time Gladys become employed at a nursing home in Davenport, later moving to Davenport, Iowa. In 1988 ill health required Bill to reside at the Oak Terrace Nursing Home, Davenport, Iowa, where he passed awaay at the age of 73 on October 6, 1989. Bill is buried at the Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa. After Glady's retirement she moved to Delaware Oklahoma where she died in August of 2001. She is also buried at Farimount Cemetery.
They children: 1. Veral Jean, 2. Jerry Lee, 3. Charoltte Ann, 4. Willie Jr, 5. Patricia Mae, 6. LaVern Eugene, 7. Dougles Fredrick, 8. Mary Lousie, 9. Michael Franklin, 10. Susan Marie, 11. Dennise Wayne, 12. Joyce Ann.
