In the death of Aaron M. Lasater, Jack County loses another of the honored pioneer citizens. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F.G. Huckabay, 17 July 1930. Funeral officiated by Rev. J.A. Matthews of Bellevue and interment at Oakwood cemetery.
Mr.Lasater, 81, was a native of Tennessee and came to Texas with his parents, when six years of age, residing in Jack and Palo Pinto counties for about 75 years.
He was married to Miss Annie E. Brown in 1876 and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. R.M. Lasater of Mertzen; S.B. Lasater of Stinnett; Mrs. A.A. Jameson of Fort Worth, Mrs. F.G. Huckabay of Jacksboro.
A.M. Lasater has sold the LAS stock to W.R. Curtis for $50,000. The stock numbers between 4,000-4,500 head. The purchase also includes about 40 cow ponies, ranch outfit, etc.

Aaron Milas Lasater and family moved to Hutchinson County, Texas in 1902 where he was appointed sheriff to serve when the sheriff of Hutchinson County, Texas was removed from office.
