CALVIN C. WELLIN
Apr. 15, 1922 - Feb. 3, 2010
SALEM - Cal Wellin was born April 15, 1922 in Portland, Oregon. On April 20, 1945, he married MAVIS, and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He was wounded in Bastogne, Belgium and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal.
He worked for Overhead Door for 30 plus years. Cal enjoyed dancing, bowling, RVing and following Jazz music.
He was a long-time member of the Elks and Eagles.
Cal was preceded in death by son, John Wellin on June 8, 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis; son, Wayne; daughter-in-law, Marlene; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. Interment at Skyline Memorial Gardens, Portland.
