Clara R. Carothers, 89, of 750 Chestnut St., Brethren Home, died Monday evening at Wayne Hospital.
The daughter of the late Jacob and Eliza (Willis) Norris, she was born Sept. 15, 1891, in Greenville Township. She had lived in the Savona area her entire life until moving to the Brethren Home in 1979. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abijah Clyde Carothers, in May of 1950.
She is survived by three sons, Harold, Greenville, Joe, Evansville,Ind., and Max, Naples, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Edna) Schlosser, New Madison, and Mrs. Frank (Margery) Harris, Naples; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.Thursdayat the Storch-Braund Funeral Home, New Madison, with the Rev. Richard L. Gantz officiating. Burial will be in Abbottsville Cemetery.
