As far as I know, this is the only picture we had of Sandra. Our Aunt Betty came for a visit, and put Sandra on the porch in a rocker and snapped this picture. Mother had not wanted her picture made yet. Her and Daddy were taking Sandra next week to town to have her 6 month picture made at the studio.
That Saturday, they left us children with our grandmother to go shopping. Sandra did not seem sick at that time. While in town, they bought Sandra a new outfit to have her picture made in. When they got home, my grandmother ran out to the car with Sandra. She's burning up with fever she told them. They rushed Sandra to the hospital, but she died within a few hours. She died of Pneumonia. She was buried in her new outfit.
