Mrs. Mildred L. Buckley, 77 of 21 Wood St Bath, died Sat afternoon at Ira Davenport Memorial hospital.
She was born Aug 29, 1897 in Howard NY, the daughter of William and Emma Lamphier Marvin.
A resident of the area all her life, Mrs. Buckley was a communicant of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church here for 38 years. She was also a member and currently chaplain, of Bath Rebekah Lodge 239, IOOF.
She and her husband Guy Buckley celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last Jun 21.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Louise Hastings of Elmira and and Mrs. Cynthia Branning of Batesburg SC; four sons, James Buckley of Kanona, Howard Buckley of Saint Petersburg, FL, Milford Buckley of Horseheads and Ronald Buckley of Norton, MA; two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Davis of Rochester and Mrs. Edna McNally of Southbury, CT; 21 grandchildren, seven g-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at the Jones Funeral Home, Bath, will be today 2-4 and 7-9. A Rebekah Memorial Service will be conducted tonight at 8. Funeral Services will be at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church Tue at 3 pm the Rev. Canon Donald C. Means will officiate. Interment will be in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath.
