Virginia was born in Johnstown, WI, on April 22, 1927, daughter of Otto R. and Augusta M. (Kreger) Schultz. On June 21, 1946, Virginia married Earl Harold Butke at St. John's Lutheran Church in Milton, WI. Earl preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1994. Virginia worked at Whitewater Electronics for 23 years, and at Universal Electronics in Helenville for three years before retiring. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater.
