Nova (Robbins) Pleasant, 98, of Tecumseh, MO passed away 12:30a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, MO. Mrs. Pleasant was born at Mammoth, MO on October 2, 1911 to T.J. and Lora (Walker) Robbins. She was married to A.A. Pleasant in 1928. They owned and operated a general store and boat dock at Tecumseh, MO for many years. She was postmaster for 35 years (1943-1978).
She is survived by one daughter Nadine House and husband Mose of Willow Springs, MO; son-in-law Dr. John Rich of Aurora, CO; daughter-in-law Mary Ruth Piepergerdes of Gainesville, MO; four grandchildren Barry Pleasant and wife Angela of Gainesville, MO, Reggie House and wife Danette of West Plains, MO, Mark House and wife Marian of Nixa, MO, Elizabeth Bolz and husband Gary of Highlands Ranch, CO; seven great grandchildren Suzanna House, Natalie Pleasant, Cameron and Brady House, Jackson, Benjamin, and Emma Jo Bolz; two sisters Wilma Hooper and husband Lonnie of Oskaloosa, KS, Rosalee Sorensen and husband John of Des Plaines, IL; and many other special family, friends, and neighbors too numerous to mention.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband A.A.; son Earl Junior Pleasant; daughter Linda Jo Rich; sister Gail Crawford; two brothers Billy Ray and T.J. Robbins Jr.

Nova was a lifelong member of the Churches of Christ in Dawt and Gainesville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 6, 2010 in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Gainesville, MO with Wayne Stewart and Halbert Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Howards Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00PM to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Howards Ridge Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
