O'CONNER ALTMAN DIES AT SPRINGFIELD HOME

Springfield, Feb. 9--O'Conner Altman, retired farmer and business man, died at his country home, near this place, Friday night and was buried in Oakwood cemetery at Springfield Saturday by his pastor, the Rev. W M Hammond of the local Baptist Church.
Mr. Altman was about 55 years old, married and leaves his widow with five children, all grown. Having accumulated a comfortable fortune on his splendid lands a few miles east of town, he, with his family, removed to Columbia, where he bought a home and settled down for life. During one of his monthly visits to his farm he was stricken with pneumonia and died in a short time.
During early life Mr. Altman marrie a Miss Ashe. He was a member of the Baptist church at Springfield and was laid away in the beautiful cemetery adjoining.
