LAURA CARSON "GRANNY" CONLEY, age 70, Second Street, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Wolfe County, July 7, 1939, to the late Charlie H. and Myrtle Stewart Carson, she was a retired 3M Company employee. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Carson, a sister, Carrie Jolly, three infant brothers and three infant sisters.
She is survived by a daughter; Lisa Conley (Mitchell) Mullins, Dorton; three brothers, Charles (Peggy) Carson, Jr. and Rex (Linda) Carson, both of Cynthiana and Homer Lee (Sherry) Carson, Erlanger; a sister, Mildred Jewell Ritchie, Cynthiana; two grandchildren, Ryan Barkley and Joshua Griffieth; three great grandchildren, James Michael Griffieth, Meagan Renee Griffieth and Kadyn Wayne Griffieth and a sister-in-law, Margie Carson, Carlisle.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home by Bro. Wayne Tolson. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday. Burial will be in Barterville Cemetery.
