Agnes grew up in St. Vincent on the Corner/Bradshaw land. After her grandparents and mother died , plus a bad hurricane destroyed their home, she went to St. Thomas with her sister Harriette where their father was involved in shipping business with Niles.
Her sister Harriette married Niles. Agnes meet a Danish young engineer there on a trip with the Dannish Navy and after they corresponded six months, she went to Copenhagen and married Peter Christiansen there. Her first three children were born in Copenhagen.
Peter and Agnes Christiansen in 1914 returned to St. Thomas. Peter designed and built the first electrical plant there for the West Indies Trading company and managed it for many years.
When US bought St. Thomas, in 1927 the Christiansen family came to Phoenix Arizona . Peter continued his engineering involment the rest of his life.
Always a very Brittish, neat, loving little lady strong in her thinking.
Daughter Hilda Christiansen Burris died near Phoenix and her ashes were scattered back in St. Thomas.
