Texas City- Lillie May Buchanan, 70, died at 9:25 am, Monday, at John Sealy Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm in the chapel of James Crowder Funeral home with Rev. Robert Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Santa Fe under direction of Crowder Funeral Home.
Mrs Buchanan was born Feb. 26, 1911 in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was a retired nurse at Danforth Memorial Hospital. She lived in Texas City for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Texas City Rebecca Lodge and First Babtist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Buchanan of Texas City; four daughters, Elsie Louise Boyd of Houston, Laverne Graff of Mount Pleasant, Inez McMclanahan of Houston, and Alta Taylor of Conroe, Other survivors include three sons, Glenn Buchanan of Palm Springs, Calif, Kenneth A. Buchanan of La Port and Jerry Buchanan of League City; two sisters, Faye Brown of Mount Pleasant and Netti Collier of San Francisco, Calif; one brother, Ray Hall of Eldorado, Ar.; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John M. Daigle, Edward F. Johnson, Glenn E. King, G.R. Hulsey, Dan P. Ray, and C.E. Hughes
