Joe Tinsley, 61, of South Canton, Michigan died May 6, 2006 at St. Mary Mercy Hospital. He was a native of Kingsville, Texas and worked for the government as a consultant at MTC Technologies in Detroit, Michigan. Joe retired from the United States Army served during the Vietnam War and was a highly decorated Major.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Tinsley of Kingsville, Texas; sons, Paul B. Tinsley and his wife Christy of Wylie and P.J. Tinsley and his wife Leisha of Port Arthur; mother, Naomi Tinsley of Nacogdoches; brothers, Gary Tinsley and his wife Edie of Nacogdoches and Don Tinsley and his wife Elsa of Dallas; sister, Mary Jette and her husband Paul of Pleasanton; grandchildren, Justin, Cullen and Emily Tinsley, Heath, Bobby and Ashley Nace, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive. Graveside services will be 3:30 P.M. Saturday at Fairlawn Memorial Park in Liberty. A gathering of family and friends will be 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc., 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, Tennessee, 37211.
