Master Sergeant (Retired) Russell Beck, age 57 passed away on October 19, 2002.

He enlisted in the Indiana Army National Guard in September 1965 and was discharged from the 38th Division Support Command (DISCOM), 38th Infantry Division on February 7, 1991.

Master Sergeant Beck was also a long-time state employee.

Russell Warren Beck, 57, Bargersville, died Oct. 19. He served 27 years in the Army, retiring in 1991. He was a member of National Hot Rod Association.

Services: 2 p.m. Oct. 25 in Bluff Creek Christian Church. Calling: 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 in G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. Oct. 25 in the church. Burial: Bluff Creek Cemetery, Johnson County.

Memorial contributions: Brinnich Beck Trust Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors: wife Cheryl Padgett Beck; daughters Angel Kristen, Brandi Michelle, Brinnich Whitney Beck; mother Mary Elizabeth Prichard Beck; sister Nila Fisher.

Russell Warren Beck

Russell Warren Beck, 57, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Bargersville.

He was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Indianapolis. His father was Ray W. Beck. His mother is Mary Elizabeth (Prichard) Beck of Bargersville. He married Cheryl (Padgett) Beck on Aug. 24, 1968, in Indianapolis. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Angel Kristen Beck, Brandi Michelle Beck and Brinnich Whitney Beck, all of Bargersville; and a sister, Nila Fisher of Naples, Fla.

He retired from the U.S. Army after serving for more than 20 years.

He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and loved music. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed boating.

The Rev. Stan Icenogle will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Friday at Bluff Creek Christian Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial with military rites will be at Bluff Creek Cemetery in Bargersville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brinnich Beck Trust Fund in care of the funeral home.
