Lois Hedge, 69, of Columbus died Wednesday, July 17, at Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center.

Services were today, July 19, 2 p.m. chapel of Memorial Funeral Home with Revs. Robert Moore and Al Griffin officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.

Born May 8, 1992, in Lamar County, Ala., she was the daughter of the late W.J. Dawkins Sr. She lived in Columbus most of her life and retired from United Technologies (Bosh) after 21 years of service. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ed Williamson and Fred Williamson, both of Columbus; her mother, Irene Atkins Dawkins of Columbus; three sisters, Mildred Roselle of Mooreland, Idaho, Hazel Stanley of Columbus and Elouise Decker of WestPoint; six brothers, W.J. Dawkins Jr. of La Mesa, N.M., Clyde Dawkins of Higginion, Ark., Leamon Dawkins, Joe Dawkins, Doug Dawkins and Lynn Dawkins, all of Columbus and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ivy Coleman, David Shelton, Joe Lloyd, Emmitt Bozzer, Ray Underwood and Richard Underwood.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Jack Reed, Dr. Brad Brown and the SICU staff at Golden Triangle Regional Medical Center.
