On February 16, 1941, she married Frank Bond in Kimball, Neb. He died May 18, 1994.
In 1939 she began her 35-year teaching career in rural schools in Weld County. She taught at Kersey for seven years before joining the Greeley-Evans School District 6 staff. For 25 years she taught in the Chappelow and Centennial Schools and retired in 1981.
A member of First United Methodist Church of Greeley, Mrs. Bond taught Sunday School and was an active member of the Wesley Foundation during her college years. She served as superintendent of the kindergarten department and was active in the United Methodist Women, serving as president for four years. In 1991, she received an honorary UMW pin.
Survivors are a daughter, Carol, and two sons, David and Jess, all of Kersey; two granddaughters, Cynthia Horn of Pratt, Neb., and Jolene Hart of Kersey; and a grandson, Don Bond, also of Kersey. Her parents and only sister, Ione Dodge, are deceased.
