Funeral services for Peter D. Cameron, 79, veteran Pittsburgh steel man, who died Saturday, will be held at 3 p. m. today at H. Samson's, 537 Neville Street. Mr. Cameron, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, operated the first basic open hearth furnace at the Homestead Steel Works. He retired in 1941 from the Wheeling Steel Corporation, where he had been superintendent of the open hearth department Mr. Cameron was a member of Harrisburg Lodge, F&AM, and the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Canton, O. He lived with his daughter, Mrs. Robert C. Good of 1505 Walnut Street, Edgewood. Also surviving are a son, Donald S. Cameron of Chicago: two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Thomson of Butler and Mrs. Andrew Forrest of Chicago; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Interment will be in Harrisburg.
