Private in Co. B, 1st Potomac Home Brigade Cavalry (Cole's Volunteer Maryland Cavalry). Captured at the Battle of Loudoun Heights, Va., 1/10/1864. He died August 6, 1864 of diarrhea and rests in grave #4881. In 1865, his wife applied for (and received) a pension based on his service. A minor also applied at a later time and received a pension.
