Visitation for Nancy Lou White of Mountain Home will be from 9 am to 9 pm today at Roller Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 pm. Mrs. White died Saturday (March 4, 1989) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. She was 82.
Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Troy Melton officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery with Dean Martin, James Wilber, Lewis Knight, Leonard Kellem, Marvin Bolding, and Jewell Tilley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Virgil Wilbur, Larry Sizemore, and James Smithson.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy White of Burford, and Kenneth White of Flippin; seven daughters, Burnise Queen of Gassville, Bernice Mantle of Buford, Martha Lee of Buffalo City, Lorene Parker of Monkey Run, Phyllis Ashley of Houston, Texas, Alice Thorn of North Little Rock, and Nelta Kays of Ozark, Mo.; one brother, Joe Davis of Round Lake, Minn.; two sisters, Mary Earnhart of Conway, and Donnie Huelsenbeck of Waverly, Tenn.; 29 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sons, one daugther, two brothers, three sisters, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
An area native, Mrs. White was born Nov. 29, 1906, at Big Flat, to the late Steve and Minnie Merrell Davis. She and the late Ervin "Short" White were married April 21, 1929, at Advance. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.
