Ada E. Vranish Ard, 95 years of age, departed this life in the presence of her family on Sunday, January 24th, 2010.
Ada was born on July 24th, 1914, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Vranish. She enjoyed Bowling, playing Bingo, Flowers, and being around family and Friends. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church at Naomi, Kentucky. She worked as a shift manager at Kentucky Fried Chicken for many years.
Ada was survived by two sons, Jones Michael Ard of Nancy, Kentucky and James (and LaBera) Ard of Nicholasville, Kentucky; one daughter, Mary Lou (and Ben) Foster of Somerset, Kentucky; one brother, Frank Vranish of Florida; one sister, Helen Bathurst of Somerset, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Michael Ard, Jonathan Ard, Jason Ritter, and Jamie Jones; one great grandchild, Mason Lee Pendleton; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Vranish and Mary Vranish; her loving husband, James O. Ard, who departed this life on November 20th, 1961; and six brothers and sisters.
Visitations were held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Noel Broughton officiating.
Burial followed in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Naomi, Kentucky.
