David Mattingly died Tuesday morning after an illness of several months. He suffered with his heart and had several bleeding spells. His death has been expected for sometime and while he was a great sufferer he was conscious to the last. The funeral will be held from the St. Rose Church this morning at 9:30 o'clock. Twenty-two years ago Mr. Mattingly married Miss Margaret Mattingly. Seven of their twelve children are living, the oldest one, Carl Mattingly is eighteen years of age and for the last year he has taken responsibilities of the family. He carried insurance in fourteen companies, Mr. Mattingly worked at the L. H & St. L. R. Shops. Besides his immediate ones, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Eliza Mattingly, one sister, Mrs. Carl Benton, of Louisville and three brothers, Fraize Mattingly of Owensboro, James Mattingly of Marshall, Texas and Lewis Mattingly of Kansas.
