She was a member of Senior Circle and Gold Star Wives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Telesfor and Eloisa Muniz; husband, Juan B. Sanchez; son, John Jeffrey Sanchez; brother, Jose Luciano Muniz; sister, Rosanna Gonzales; and longtime companion, J. Leon Green.
Adelina is survived by her son, Victor L. Sanchez and wife Veronica of Las Vegas; grandson, Victor Michael Sanchez and wife Dana of Albuquerque; great-granddaughter, Vannassa Sanchez and great-grandson Jeffrey Sanchez and their mother, Judy Sanchez, all of Las Vegas; dear friend and care giver, Andrietta Chavez and family of Las Vegas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at the Rogers Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father C. John Brasher as celebrant. Interment of her cremains will follow at the San Jose Cemetery, Las Vegas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, NM Chapter.
