Mrs. Marjorie Lucille Burks, 67, of Ivan Community in Bossier Parish died Friday, Oct. 26 near Ivan following an automobile accident.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 1984 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Ingram officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Inc., Springhill.

Mrs. Burks was a native of Bienville, LA, having lived in the Cotton Valley-Ivan area most of her life. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and a housewife.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Darlene Boyett, Cabot, AR; two sons, Talmadge Bolton, Hyattsville, Maryland, and Ronnie Bolton, Ivan Community, LA; three sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Palmer, Sarepta, LA; Mrs. Joyce Boyett, Bossier City, LA; and Mrs. Florence Morgan, Minden, LA; six brothers, Carl Basinger, Springhill, LA; Billy Basinger, Houston, TX; John D. Basinger, Cotton Valley, LA; Eugene Basinger, Malvern, AR; James Frank Basinger, Smackover, AR; and Leo Staggs, Sarepta, LA; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Trey Palmer, Tony Boyett, David Morgan, Billy Boyett, Jack Boyett, Wesley Clarkson, David Young and Tommy Peterson.
