Homer was the son of Elizabeth Davis & Thomas Littleton Brown. He was never married but fathered a child, William F. Brown, Sr., with Annie Bell Smith. Family lore always stated that Homer begged Annie to marry him but she said "no - she didn't love him". He declared his love for her & said he'd never marry if he couldn't have her - and he did just that.
