SOUTH BEND - Elaine S. Condon, 88, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2010, in her home.
She was born on December 16, 1921, in Plymouth, IN, to Clifford and Bertha (Rose) Puterbaugh.
On September 6, 1945, in Hammond, IN, she married Donald Condon, who preceded her in death on April 9, 2009.
Mrs. Condon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Thomas Bright of South Bend, IN; grandson, Christian Thomas Bright of South Bend, IN; and a nephew and his wife, David Lee and Janette Stough of Plymouth, IN.
A sister, Marjorie Stough, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Condon retired in 1996 after fifty years as an executive secretary. As a younger girl she was very involved in 4-H. She attended Crest Manor Church of the Brethren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010, in Crest Manor Church of the Brethren, 1342 Berkshire Drive, South Bend.
Burial took place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, IN.
