MRS. BEATRICE MARIE HARDESTY, 80, died Sunday in Louisville. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hager Funeral Home. Visitation: 3-9 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday & after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Vigil service: 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

BEATRICE MARIE HARDESTY, 80, died Jan. 13, 2002, at Norton Hospital Southwest, Louisville. She was born April 25, 1921, in Meade County, the daughter of the late Warren and Eleanor Arnold Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin Hardesty; 5 children, James Hardesty, Glenn Hardesty, Johnny Hardesty, Erma Dean Hardesty, and Dorisey Keith. Mrs Hardesty is survived by 7 children and their spouses, Janet Curl, Vine Grove, Sue and Thomas Moss, Laconia, IN, Peggy and Garry Bennett, Battletown, Phillip and Gayle Hardesty, Ekron, Regina and John Hayes, Payneville, Perry Hardesty, Webster, and Joy and Kenny Meeks, Irvington; 27 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 16 from the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Abel officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery.
