Mrs. Mahala M. Lockhart, 78, Cambridge R.D. 1, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 13, 1969) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1891 in Wood County, W.Va., and was married to Henry Lockhart who died April 30, 1955.
Mrs. Lockhart leaves eight daughters, Mrs. Bessie Ross, Cambridge, R.D. 1, Miss Doris Lockhart of the home, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Mrs. Kathryn Coup, both of Akron, Mrs. Susan Varecchia, Manchester, Mrs. Joan Blankenship, Polk R.D. 1, Mrs. Opal McNiell, Goodyear, Ariz. R.D. 1, and Mrs. Alice Felter, Mt. Vernon; three sons, Louis and Kenneth Lockhart, both of Akron, and David Lockhart of Florida.
Thorn Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mahala M. Lockhart, 78, Cambridge R.d. 1 will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Thorn Funeral Home with Elder Ossie Heaton officiating.
Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Lockhart died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 13, 1969) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 9, 1891 in Wood County, W.Va., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Milstead, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and Gold Star Mothers.
Mrs. Lockhart leaves eight daughters, Mrs. Bessie Ross and Miss Doris Lockhart, both of Cambridge R.D. 1, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Mrs. Kathryn Coup, both of Akron, Mrs. Susan Varecchia, Manchester, Mrs. Joan Blankenship, Polk R.d. 1, Mrs. Opal McNiell, Goodyear, Ariz. R.D. 1, and Mrs. Alice Felter, Mt. Vernon; three sons, Louis and Kenneth, both of Akron and David of Florida; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Henry, three brothers, and one sister are deceased.
