Funeral Services For Otto Meyer, 62, Are Held Wednesday
Funeral services for Otto Meyer, age 62, were held last Wednesday, November 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Phillips & Luckey chapel with Rev. C. Edward Fraim, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial was made at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Meyer, who had been making his home in Rockdale, died from a heart attack during the early hours of the previous Monday morning.
Mr. Meyer, was born in Fayette county, Texas on September 5, 1884 and was one of a family of seven children. He came to Milam county when a boy and had resided here and in Lee county the remainder of his life, having been engaged in farming and other occupations.
There survives two daughters, Mrs. Amelia Hughes of Washington, D.C., who came via plane for the service, Mrs. Howard Currey of this city, and a son, Cecil R. Meyer of Austin; a sister Mrs. Louise Droscher of Lexington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
