Marian Maxwell Michel, 72, of 3432 Horseshoe Island Road, Clay, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Jordan, Mrs. Michel lived many years in Minoa before moving to Clay in 1953. She retired as a nurse teacher after 16 with the West Genesee School District.
Mrs. Michel was a graduate of the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and Syracuse University.
Mrs. Michel was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Clay, and the New York State Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are her husband, Edward J.; a son, Jeffrey of Waunekee, Wis.; a daughter, Hollee Stone of Waunekee; a stepdaughter, Nancy Mason of Kissimmee, Fla.; a stepson, Edward D. Michel of Nedrow; two sisters, Jean Guzewich of Jamesville and Dorothy Harrienger of Auburn; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Russell H. Schepp & Son Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 109 East Ave.
Contributions may be made to the Moyers Corners Ambulance Corps.
