WAYNESBORO - Arnold Blair Doyle Sr., 67, of 915 died Thursday evening January 23, 1992) at University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born June 15, 1923 in Highland County, a son and Carrie (Carpenter) Doyle. He was a retired Crompton Shenandoah Company employee, an Army veteran of World War II having fought in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart and a member of Staunton Moose Lodge 1635.

Surviving are his widow Doris (Ratcliff) Doyle; four son Arnold B. Jr. of Stuarts Draft, Stephen E. of Philadelphia, Rodger A. of Elon College, North Carolina and Johnny H. Doyle of Waynesboro; a brother Wendell H. Doyle of Roanoke; two sisters, Myrtle (Roy) Bussard of Bacova, and Allene (Emmett) Campbell of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 2 PM Sunday at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Dennis Brown with burial at Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Junior Bennett, Don Wilson, Jerry Garrett, John Kerby, Benny Cook, and Bart Rowe.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Arnold Doyle Jr., 150 Woodview Drive, Stuarts Draft. Memorials may be made to Waynesboro First Aid Crew.
