Delores Maxine Fenton, age 87, of Centerville, Iowa died Monday, December 17, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Maxine was born April 27, 1920, the daughter of Newton and Hannah Mae(Cunningham)Thomas. She married Kenneth Fenton on December 18, 1937. Delores was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grand kids.
Maxine is survived by her six children, Kenneth Gene(Diane)Fenton of Audobon, Iowa, Patricia Maxine(Lonnie)Risher of Centerville, Iowa, Judith Kathleen(Bill)Neal of Kansas City, Missouri, Gary Dean(Jo Ann)Fenton of Sterling, Colorado, Dennie Lee(Charlotte)Fenton of Centerville, Iowa, and Kimberly Sue Ferren of Dallas, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; Debbie Smith, Joyce Grabil, Kenny Fenton, Lori Panzi, Lance Risher, Roy Neal, Kelly Twilley, Joey Fenton, Carrie Probasco, Brock Ferren, Amanda Ferren, Shawn Morlan and Shane Morlan, twenty-one great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Laverne Thomas of Centerville, Iowa, and Larry Thomas of Centerville, Iowa; two sisters, Shirley Swan and Patty Wager both of Promise City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandparents; great grandparents; a grandson, Ronnie Dean Fenton; and siblings, Wendell Thomas, Laurel Eugene Thomas, Dorothy Chellas, Lynn Thomas, Elaine Crow, Irene Sales, Sandy Florene Thomas, and Noah Vernard Thomas.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home in Centerville. Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery north of Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Thomas Laange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 pm Friday evening. Memorials have been established to the family and may be left at the funeral home.
