Funeral of Aged Couple Here Today
Last Rites for John Becker and Wife, Former Residents of Pipestone County
A double funeral service will be held this afternoon at one-thirty o’clock at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for Mr. and Mrs. John Becker., former residents of this county. Mrs. Becker, who had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. H. J. Kruse at George, Iowa, died about three o’clock on Thursday afternoon after a long illness. She was 79 years, 4 months and 17 days old at the time of her death. Mr. Becker, who was making his home with a son Henry Becker at Faith, S. D., died on Saturday after an illness of about a month. He was 85 years old. The bodies will reach this city today and the services will be held this afternoon conducted by Rev. J. G. Steinmeyer. The burial will be in the North Eden Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Becker and family were residents of this county for several years farming in the vicinity of Ihlen. They left this locality about twenty-nine years ago. They are survived by two sons, Henry of
Faith and William of Pipestone; and three daughters, Mrs. B. H. Kruse of Boyden, Iowa and Mrs. H. J. Kruse of George, Iowa. Pipestone County Star
