Mr. Palmer passed away Saturday. A retired farmer, he was born February 26, 1905, in Hopkins County.
He was united in marriage to Ludie Jo Vail June 22, 1925 in Paris. The family moved to Memphis in 1942.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Joyce Shawhart of Memphis; two brothers, Leon Palmer of Shamrock and Marvin Ellis of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Dennie and Mrs. Irene White, both of Paris; two grandchildren, Mark Shawhart of Memphis and Mrs. Louis LeBow of Pampa and two great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers were Joe M. Dennie, Connie Palmer, John O. Palmer, Rex Palmer, Arlie White, Ronnie White and Johnnie White.
Honorary pall bearers were Delbert Hightower, Bill Miller, Phaeton Alexander, Andy Gardenhire, Buster Morrison, Connie Hartsell, Wayne Stuckey, John Fowler, T.B. Rogers, Loyd Williams, Joe Mothershed, Ira Davis, Hubert Jones, Ace Gailey Jack Nelson, Tom Posey, Wendell Harrison, Don Cockrell.
