Tanglewood, Tex., Jan. 31. -- A sad accident occurred some ten miles west of here last Friday evening. Mrs. Nancy Parker was alone in her house preparing supper. Her husband had gone to her father's house, a few hundred yards disant, on an errand. As he started back he heard her scream. Hurrying to the house he found her in the yard with her clothes burned off and her body terribly burned. She lingered in great agony about six hours before death relieved her sufferings. She was the wife of Willis Parker, a well-known Texas veteran.
