Wife of John Rodgers, married November 15, 1872 Ohio County, West Virginia

Mrs. Margaret J. Rodgers, 75, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Thursday (17 Mar) at her home at West Alexander, following an illness of pneumonia that had extended over the last two weeks. She was the mother of W. L. Rodgers, of Wheeling, W. Va. and N. I. Rodgers, of Elm Grove, W. Va.
Mrs. Rodgers was born in Ohio county, West Virginia, but for the last 15 years had resided at West Alexander. She had been an invalid for a number of years but her condition had not been serious until she contracted pneumonia two weeks ago.
Surviving, in addition to the two sons residing in Wheeling, are a son, J. M. Rodgers, of West Alexander and three daughters, Mrs. Stella Dixon, of West Alexander; Mrs. Addie L. Atkinson, of West Liberty, W. Va. and Miss Gertrude Rodgers, at home. A brother, H. L. McCammon, of West Alexander, also survives.
Services will be conducted this afternoonat 3 oclock with Rev. Glenn M. Crawford, of Jeannette, officiating. Burial will be in the West Alexander Cemetery.
