Cherokee Advance (Canton, Georgia) – October 12, 1934
In Memory: In remembrance of Mr. (John) J. Abercromble, who departed this life May 31st, 1934, age 82, after a sickness of over a month. Mr. Abercrombie was born in Lumpkin County, Ga. and lived there until he came to Cherokee and was married to Miss Elizabeth Keith. To this union were born five children, Mrs. Bessie Poore is the only one still living. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His remains were laid to rest in Bascomb cemetery Saturday, June 2nd.
