Funeral services for James Edward SWIMMER, Sr., 56, of Gore, are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at the Gore High School Gymnasium, with Revs. Garner Garrison and Elder Peter Penrose Hubler officiating. Sallisaw. Burial will be in Swimmer Family Cemetery in Gum Springs, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore.
Mr. SWIMMER was born January 18, 1945, in Konawa to Edward "Ned" SWIMMER. He died Sunday, September 2, 2001, in Sallisaw.
Mr. SWIMMER married Sharon Jeanette LANE on July 9, 1965 in Stilwell.
Survivors include his wife Sharon SWIMMER of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Chuck, Karen and Lyle and Jennifer and Josh; one son and daughter-in-law, James Edward Jr. and Debra; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Vergial and Danny; his father and mother-in-law, Earl and Margaret; and one uncle and aunt, Floyd and Mickey.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Denise Renee SWIMMER (click on: Denise Renee Swimmer), and Cristin Rebbecca SWIMMER (click on: Cristin Rebbeca Swimmer).
