Marion W. Althoff, 65, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at her home. She was the wife of Edward J. Althoff Jr. for 46 years. Born January 4, 1941, in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Belford and Viola Speelman. Mrs. Althoff was employed with Gettysburg Transformer Company for many years until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of Gettysburg Foursquare Church and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son,; daughter,; two sisters,; five brothers,; and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Preston Speelman and Stanley Speelman; and a sister, Jean Dixon. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 10 a.m. today at the Gettysburg Foursquare Gospel Church.
