Pat V. "Pappy" Chester (1934 - 2010)
Pat V. Chester "Pappy", age 75, born June 9, 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Pat Chester Sr. and Rena Miller, passed away Jan. 11, 2010 after battling a long illness surrounded by his family at Mount Graham Regional Hospital in Safford, AZ.
He and his family moved to Silver City, NM when he was just a young boy. After he graduated high school he married his high school sweetheart Nancy Warren.
They moved to various places before settling in Dudleyville, AZ where they raised their family. He was employed by Kennecott Copper Co. and retired as a supervisor from the Asarco Complex Leaching Division. Pat was a high school basketball star, a stock car driver, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working everyone's vehicles and bowling. his favorite past times of all were fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, his sister Juanita True and his baby brother Bobby.
Pat is survived by his brother Cecil Chester(Linda) of San Antonio,TX, his children Warren(Cheryl) of Dudleyville and Mark Chester of Show Low, Wanda Sieloff(Paul Hale) of Globe, Eva Gibbs(Dale) of Pima and Tammy Clark(Jerry Rocha) of Globe, his 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren with two on the way.
The visitation will be held Jan. 18 at 11:00 am at Lamont Mortuary Chapel followed by the service at 12:00 pm. The interment will follow at Globe Cemetery next to his wife Nancy.
