Mrs. Lena Austin Armour, age 77, of Houlka died Sunday, August 19 1990 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, August 20 at First Baptist Church in Houlka. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Burton officiating.

The daughter of the late Hugh Sherman Austin and Mary Addie Boring, she lived most of her life in Houlka. She was the widow of the late Alsie Armour and was a retired employee of tupelo Production Credit Corporation. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houlka.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Mary Triplett of Brooksville, Mrs. Lucille Childs of Houston, Mrs. Kate Word and Mrs. Elizabeth May, both of Ashland; three brothers, William H Austin of Memphis, Thomas S Austin of Houston and Robert I Austin of Oxford; and several nephews who served as pallbearers.

Houlka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
