George F. Gaydos, 77, died March 24, 2008, at the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville.
The funeral service will be at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, on Friday, March 28, at 9 a.m. Interment is in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Born in Newark, Mr. Gaydos lived in Kearny the past 46 years.
He worked for the Worthington Pump Co. in Harrison for 35 years before retiring in 1985.
Mr. Gaydos served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He was the beloved husband of Anna (nee Wuss), the devoted father of Jeff, George and Joseph, and the cherished grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of two.
