Minnie Fulford, born: 15 July 1874, Du Quoin, Perry County Illinois, died; 25 March 1953, Du Quoin, Perry County Illinois, buried: Odd Fellow Cemetery, Du Quoin, Perry County Illinois, daughter of: Alford A. and D. A. Fulford, married: 15 June 1893, Perry County Illinois, Charles Oliver "Ollie" Armstrong, born: 24 April 1869, Elm Point, Bond County Illinois, died: 23 November 1906, Du Quoin, Perry County Illinois, buried: Odd Fellow Cemetery, Du Quoin, Perry County Illinois, Children: Marie Eleanor (Armstrong) Brosch (Mrs. Charles August Brosch), Chester Robert Armstrong, Louis William Armstrong Sr., Henry Harrison Armstrong, John Alford Armstrong, Oris "Gilbert" Armstrong.

Source Notes of Olive Kaune; input by Mary Enos, genealogy researched starting in the early 1920. Charles Oliver "Ollie" was stricken with White Swelling as a child as a result one leg was shorter, and he walked with a limp, he followed the trade of Plastering and Carpenter with his father John Henry Armstrong, when he was plastering the High School Building at Pinckneyville, Illinois, he fell and hit the back of his head on the stairway. Charles left his five young children when he died, I don't know the whole story, but I believe their Mother tried to raise the children on her own, and she did her best, but then they went to live with others. I do know his son, Louis Armstrong, came to live with Charles and Olive Kaune's, he was always known as Uncle Louis to me, he went to Church and School in Donnellson, Montgomery County Illinois, he was like a brother to the Kaune Girls, that would be Irene (Kaune) Harrell and Selma M. (Kaune) Canepa.
