Wayne Allen Strawderman, 63, of Baker, W.Va., died Friday, July 30, 2004, at his home.

Mr. Strawderman was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Winchester, the son of Gladys Strawderman Sager. He was raised by Robert and Virginia May Good.

He was a farmer and a lineman for Shen Valley Electric. He served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and was of the Lutheran faith.

He was married to Esther June Dove on Aug. 14, 1965.

Surviving with his wife are four daughters, Lorie Lynn Anderson, Lanna June Higgs, and Lea Ann Keller, all of Dayton, and Lisa Mae Thacker of McGaheysville; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, W.Va., with the Rev. Arlene Mongold and the Rev. Luther "Nip" Crites officiating. Burial at Strawderman Farm Cemetary(Aka Bean Cemetery), Baker, will be private.

The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Rockingham Memorial Cancer Center, 100 E. Grace St., Harrisonburg.
