Granville Richard O'Neal, 95, of Pine Bluff, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at Davis Life Care Center.

Born June 14, 1914, in Monette (Craighead County), Arkansas, he was a son of the late Henry F. and Tennie Kellum O'Neal. He moved with his family to Pine Bluff as a child, attending Pine Bluff Schools, then graduating from Watson Chapel High School.

As a young man, Mr. O'Neal lived in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he was employed by Rose-Neath Funeral Home. After five years he returned to Pine Bluff to work for the Cotton Belt Railroad. He spent 38 years as a Conductor retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Hawley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was also a Mason and a Shriner, with membership at Jacob Brump Lodge #160. In recent years, he enjoyed spending his days at the Area Agency on Aging, playing dominoes with other retirees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bobbie Marie Montgomery O'Neal, and his daughter, Suzanne O'Neal Corkins.

He is survived by a grandson Bradley Corkins.

Graveside Service was held at Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Jason Ferguson officiating by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
