Cookie was born May 17, 1917, in Celina to John and Janie O'Dell. She had lived in Saginaw, Midland and Rhome, as well as New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her father, John Wesley O'Dell; mother, Janie Florence Blanchard O'Dell; husband, Homer Lee Cardwell; and several sisters and brothers.
Survivors: Daughter, Rebecca Jane Cardwell Cox and son-in-law, Furman, of Sandia Park, N.M.; grandchildren, Wendy Holloway, Jill Edwards and Coy Cox, all of Texas; stepgrandchildren, Melissa Massey and Darren Cox, both of Texas; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Robert "Bob" O'Dell and wife, Barbara, of Poolville; and sister, Dorothy Lee of Saginaw.
