Mrs. Halback passed away Thursday morning at the Renfro Health and Rehab Center, Waxahachie. She was born in Centralia, Illinois to Thomas and Mary (Wayman) Christian. Due to the death of her parents while she was young, Mrs. Halback was raised by her maternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Flanklin Wayman of Walnut Hill. She was married to William C. Halback and was a homemaker in their home. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at the Waxahachie Country Club, the Pink Ladies at Baylor and the First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie.
Her survivors include: sister-in-law, Lois Halback; nephews, Lyle Halback and Tom Halback; special friends, Glenda and Bob Brasher of Waxahachie, and Bob Baker of Itasca. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and husband, William C. Halback.
There will be a short Celebration of her Life at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2006 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, date and time not yet determined.
