McGUFFEY - Ramey Allen, 70, McGuffey, died of a heart attack at his residence Sunday night, after an illness of several years.
He was born Aug. 12, 1888 in Knott County, Kentucky. He had been a resident of McGuffey for 15 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Andrew of McGuffey and Karuse of Lima; one daughter, Mrs. Dewey Pinks of McGuffey; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sam and William, both of Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of Christ of Christian Union, McGuffey. Rev. Clarence Tolliver will officiate.
Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
The body will be removed from Hanson Funeral Home, Alger, at 3 p.m. Tuesday to the home of Mrs. Dewey Pinks, where friends may call.
