Deceased Name: Leo Cain Sr.
Leo Joseph Cain, Sr., a U.S. Navy veteran, died Monday at his residence. He was 82.

Cain, a resident of Mobile, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 505 for more than 50 years and served as president of the union for 20 years. He taught in the Apprenticeship Training Program for 20 years, relatives said.

In addition, he served on the Mobile County Electrical Examining Board and the Board of Trustees of IBEW Local 505 Health & Welfare & Pension Funds.

Cain had been a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, where he served as parish council president. At the time of his death, he was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council No. 666, and the Archbishop Thomas J. Toolen Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Barbara W. Cain of Mobile; his children, Leo J. Cain Jr. and Brenda C. Elsevier, both of Mobile, Patricia C. Downs of Sarasota, Fla., and Sandra C. Ousley of Orange Beach; two sisters, Margaret McCormick and Rosemary Matthews, both of Mobile; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at at Radney-Belmany Funeral Home on Grelot Road, with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
