Mrs. Florence Hodgkiss Atkins
Services for Mrs. Florence Hodgkiss Atkins, 89, of Bonham, who died Thursday, July 14, 1977, were held Saturday, at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel, Bonham, conducted by Gene Wolfe.
Burial was made in Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham.
Pallbearers were Charles Hodgkiss, John Hodgkiss, Bill Hodgkiss, John Ed Dennis, Johnny Brewer, and Dennis Hodgkiss.
Mrs. Atkins was born May 4, 1888, in Fannin County, daughter of the late Ellie Wells and Alice Benton Wells. She married Dennis Franklin Hodgkiss in 1903. He died in 1948. She then married Henry Atkins in 1950. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Noble Hodgkiss of Bonham, Lloyd Hodgkiss of Irving, J. D. Hodgkiss of Paris; daughter Mrs. Lucille Hiller of Honey Grove; sisters Mrs. Carl Robinson of Bonham and Mrs. Agnes Askue of Bonham, and seven grandchildren.
